Part-time role
Pay rate of $35 per hour
Diagnoses learning skill deficits and delivers prescribed instructional delivery methods
Consults with school personnel to coordinate student services
Communicates and conferences with parents on student progress
Delivers instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, math, and writing
Develops and maintains individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans
Ensures supervision of students, including escorting them safely to and from sessions
Requires an associate degree or higher (or equivalent coursework) for non-licensed tutors; licensed teachers also qualify
Must complete an FBI/BCI background check; teaching experience preferred

Tutor Full Description

Responsibilities:

Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
Communicate and conference with parents, providing information on student progress
Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills using Company-designed materials
Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions
Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company and local, state, and/or federal agencies

Qualifications:

Non-licensed tutors: associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, or at least two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours)
Licensed tutors: teachers with proper CT state credentials also qualify
Must complete an FBI/BCI background check
Teaching experience preferred
