Position Summary

This is a district-wide position. Supports Nursing and other Health profession students in achieving educational goals by providing tutoring and study strategies appropriate to courses.

Primary Duties Performed

Supports nursing and health professions students by providing tutoring, which includes helping build confidence, develop a study plan, take notes effectively, apply lecture material to clinical situations, understand course material, etc. Provides test prep sessions.
Communicates regularly with faculty and colleagues to establish appropriate support to students. Markets tutoring services to students and faculty.
Healthcare professions may include Respiratory Care, EMS/Paramedic, PTA, OTA, Dental Hygiene, Surgical Tech, Radiologic Tech, and Sonography. Tutoring may include reviewing concepts in Anatomy & Physiology.
