User Experience Designer
Job Summary
Solving new and exciting design problems for internal developer tools. Steer projects through the full design process, from early ideas and sketches to wireframes and prototypes, and into implementation until designs go live. Drive the full range of design activities from concepting through final visual design. Work closely with our development teams and contribute throughout the application development life cycle to develop new products, features, and enhance legacy products. Collaborate with members of a cross-functional development team to improve the user experience for products and applications. Follow a user-centered design approach and work collaboratively to research, design, and validate innovative solutions to complex problems. Collaborate with development and process engineering teams to design appropriate and consistent solutions for parts of software engineering systems such as build, test, and CI/CD workflows. Work with cross-functional teams to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet user needs and project partner's vision. Produce design ideas and collaborate with teams to choose which ideas should move forward into detailed design and eventually production, based on usability testing, standard methodologies, and technical input. Help promote standard methodologies in design, usability, and accessibility within the design and engineering teams and across the company. Research and showcase trends and the latest technologies across mobile, desktop, and Web. May telecommute up to 40%.
Rate of Pay: $98,800.00 to 153,100.00 per year

Required Qualifications:
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field and no experience.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a User Experience Designer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience with the following:
1. Relevant design tools including Figma;
2. Translate technical concepts to UI representations;
3. Desktop and Web application design;
4. Software, Icon, and Web design;
5. Ability to analyze user research, including usability studies, interviews, or surveys, to gather and understand user needs and behaviors;
6. Responsive design, ensuring a seamless user experience across various device sizes;
7. Current UX trends, techniques, and knowledge of programming languages; and
8. Software development lifecycle, process, and tooling.
