This role supports the Carolina Union Business and Finance team by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with university accounting policies. The specialist manages procurement card transactions, vendor setups, and travel documents while providing financial and customer service support to staff, students, and external partners.

Highlights
  • Provide financial and customer service support to Carolina Union, Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL), and Carolina Union Student Organizations (CUSO).
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and university internal controls.
  • Utilize financial systems including PeopleSoft, GradStar, InfoPorte, and Microsoft Office.
  • Process procurement card transactions and ensure timely reconciliations.
  • Handle vendor setups, vouchers, departmental deposits, and other financial transactions.
  • Manage travel authorizations and reimbursements following university policies.
  • Minimum 1 year experience and at least 2 years of post-secondary education required.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (PeopleSoft preferred) and advanced Excel skills required.
  • Hourly pay range of $19.00 to $21.00.
  • Position is temporary for 11 months with option of hybrid work upon training completion.
