The UX and Web Properties Associate is responsible for supporting the design and product teams in creating user-friendly web and digital products and properties. They are also responsible for user research and testing, documentation of user journeys and creating interaction models to guide development.
This position is also responsible for creating visual elements for digital products and web properties to ensure they are intuitive, engaging, and functional. This position must have a solid understanding of user-experience design fundamentals, such as rules of typography and data visualization techniques.
The UX and Web Properties Design Associate takes an empathetic design approach and works closely with developers, advertisers and others to translate product briefs and requirements into human-centered designed through detailed user flows, wireframes, and screens.
This position is responsible for ensuring the digital interface for web properties are designed for accessibility and usable by everyone, including people with permanent, temporary and/or situational disabilities.
UX and Web Properties Design Associate is responsible for core web properties administrative functions, including, but not limited to maintenance, content updates, performance optimization and collaboration with developers, content creators, advertising and sales to implement new features, user access, improve user experience and achieve sales and marketing goals.
They will use and or administer a wide-range of UX/UI and cloud-based CRM platforms.
There is no remote or hybrid option for this position. Requires regular face-to-face meetings and interactions and serves as the on-site web properties liaison, including being a member of the team that supports domain hosting.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
User-friendly web and digital products and properties
• Works closely with others to design, test and implement new or revised web properties ensuring it is user-friendly.
• Clearly define the user-experience need through problem definition by discussing the project with relevant stakeholders.
• Conducts user research, create wireframes, develop prototypes, and conduct usability testing to improve user experience; conduct competitor and product feature analysis.
• Develops user and task flow and fidelity wireframes
• Prototypes the wireframes, including clickable end-to-end mock-ups for testing.
• Maintains program and product brand integrity.
Creating visual elements
• Develops and ensures visual language through icons, illustration and photo treatment.
• Applies visual hierarchy, balance, contrast and layout principles to enhance usablitlity
• Able to present complex date in clear, action and user-friendly visual formats
• Applies rules of typography to enhance readability and user experience
• Conducts user interviews, usability testing and analyzes data to inform design improvement iterations.
Collaborate for empathetic UX in user flows, wireframes and screens
• Design intuitive, frictionless navigation paths that map out the steps a user take that anticipates their needs and reduces the cognitive load for decision-making
• Conducts user interviews, survey and usability testing to understand user frustrations and motivations; develops personas that represent the user’s emotions, needs, goals and painpoint to remove friction and ensure a seamless, supportive experience.
• Developed detailed, interactive mockup to show how a user interacts with the web property to ensure the interface is accessible and supportive
• Actively observe users to identify pain points and use the feedback to make recommendations for design improvement
• Ensures the web property design meets legal compliance for accessibility and is empathetic to the needs of users with disabilities.
Setup, Coordination and Technical Support of Virtual Institutes
• Configures Zoom settings for all institutes and webinars and provides real-time troubleshooting for each virtual institute.
• Ensures the Zoom lobby and waiting room is well-organized and managed and optimized with video and images for marketing and helping participants to see the full range of services, curriculum and retail products available to them.
• Supports the presenters in providing any assistance they need in managing the Zoom institutes or classes
• Sets up classes in the Virtual Institutes, assigns presenter to virtual room; updates and communicates changes to the room assignments as required.
• Develops a keen and growing understanding of Zoom platform in order to enhance the experience for the participants and presenter.
• Works with supervisor and designer to gather digital assets for virtual events and collaborates with the AI team to develop and then implement the Zoom advertising calendar for updating the lobby and waiting room advertising plan.
Core website functions
• Works closely with website administration to performs basic site maintenance
• Identifies and resolve errors, incomplete descriptions, broken links, and database issues or other concerns that may negatively affect the user experience and ease in purchasing and decision-making.
• Regularly update website content, graphics, and structure.
• Works closely with website administrator or others to monitor site speed, uptime, and security, implementing firewalls, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Works independently or with a team to manage web hosting, DNS settings, and domain registration.
• Provides analytics and reports on trends or other data to improve SEO and/or user experience.
• Collaborates with developers, designers, sales, finance and marketing teams to implement new features.
Other
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Occasional weekend or off-hours to respond to urgent web properties issues.
• Participates in regular face-to-face planned and impromptu planning meetings.
• Experience working with remote team is preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding (or willingness to learn expeditiously) of standard business operations and processes.

• Adept at troubleshooting in fast-paced environments and implementing corrective actions swiftly.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in User Experience Design (BS in UXD) or related fields, such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in building interactive prototypes and mockups
• Expert in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, responsive design, and WCAG accessibility standards
• Demonstrated successful experience working with Figma Design, leveraging an existing design system and style guide.
• Proficient to expert experience and use of a wide variety of design tools and technologies, including, but not limited to Figma, FigJam, Sketch, HTML5, CSS3, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Azure, JavaScript, React
• Strong documentation and organizational skills, including the ability to produce clear annotations and structured files for engineering teams.
• Experience designing for developer tools, enterprise platforms, or other technical domains is a plus
• Experience and understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS), content creation, and/or content delivery systems highly desired.
• Experience working on a team, within a singular department or cross-departmentally, focused on driving toward common goals.
• Demonstrated proficiency in or able to quickly become proficient at using CRM software applications.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, time management, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, including effective writing, speaking, and listening.
• Proficient in CRM and productivity software (i.e., Microsoft Office, G-Suite, HubSpot and Salesforce)
