The UI/UX Designer works closely with our team to deliver an outstanding user experience providing an exceptional and intuitive application design. This position will be responsible for collecting, researching, investigating and evaluating user requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum engineering environment and deliver incremental product software with high quality. 
  • Lead initiatives related to Research, User Experience and User Interface, working with Product, Engineering, our customers, and partners to determine product strategy and design
  • Focus on the user’s needs and translate those needs into design recommendations
  • Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis
  • Create user stories, personas, and storyboards
  • Determine information architecture, workflows, and create sitemaps
  • Work in an agile Scrum team, helping shape and define features, user personas, user journey maps, create information architecture and other artifacts that help articulate user needs and information flows
  • Create mock-ups and other design assets to quickly communicate context, situations, and challenges that will shape and influence our designs and solutions
  • Help shape our UI framework and style guides, taking into consideration design feasibility for web technologies, HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Requirements
  • We are looking for 1-3 years experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role
  • Experience/knowledge of JIRA and Scrum methodology a plus
  • BS in relevant field preferred.
  • Agile experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Adobe/Sketch/Figma
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to discuss and explain design options
  • Understanding of design feasibility in terms of HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • A user-centric mindset
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative and analytical approach
  • Understanding of interaction design principles 
  • Workshopping & facilitation experience
  • Strong user research methods including interviews & A/B testing
  • This role is 100% remote eligible, with quarterly strategy meetings that are in-person.

It would be great if you have or are pursuing the following:
  • NNG UX Certification

We prefer that you have experience with:
  • Google Suite
  • MS Office Suite
  • Figma (or similar)
  • JIRA and Confluence
