WHAT YOU’LL DO:

MGT is seeking an experienced, executive-level K-12 curriculum development leader to join its growing curriculum development and publication team. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of experience in K-5 print curriculum development and publication, with five (5) or more years of direct experience leading teams of 10+ to design, develop, and publish high-quality curriculum materials aligned to district or network standards and taking curriculum materials from concept through production. 

In this role with MGT, this leader will play an instrumental role in leading the growth of MGT’s curriculum development team, developing custom high-quality curriculum materials that align with specific instructional standards and learning outcomes for clients nationwide. 

The Vice President of Curriculum Development will:

  • Oversee the creation, revision, and integration of curriculum by a team of 20+ Curriculum Developers and Writers to align with state, national, or organizational academic standards, across multiple projects and clients 
  • Lead the production process of curriculum to ensure print-ready final materials 
  • Lead business development efforts to grow our curriculum development and publication business line 
  • Ensure that curricula meet the diverse needs of students, incorporating inclusive and culturally relevant practices 
  • Integrate innovative teaching methods, technology, and instructional tools into curriculum frameworks
  • Develop and implement tools to assess the effectiveness of curricula and instructional strategies 
  • Analyze student performance data to identify areas for curriculum improvement 
  • Incorporate technology and AI tools to improve the efficiency and quality of curriculum development and review processes 
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure curriculum alignment with client objectives 
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in education and share insights with staff 
  • Ensure curriculum and instructional materials comply with local, state, and federal education regulations 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accreditation standards and ensure alignment in curriculum practices. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  • Bachelor’s degree; Master's or above preferred 
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in curriculum design, development, and production for K-5 education (print)  
  • Direct experience overseeing large-scale curriculum design and development, including print and digital production processes to ensure high-quality instructional materials 
  • Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and aligning curriculum materials to state and national academic standards, ensuring coherence, rigor, and compliance across grade levels and subjects 
  • Fluency in curriculum research and best practices (e.g., Science of Reading) 
  • Five (5) or more years of team leadership and people management experience, managing teams of 10+ director-level leaders

  • A proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; problem solving, project management, and creative resourcefulness

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Experience managing client and stakeholder relationships; experiencing with business development and sales preferred 
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and multi-task on multiple projects
