Virtual Adapted Physical Education Teacher Full Description

Tutor Me Education is reshaping how students learn, and we're looking for certified, enthusiastic Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teachers to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction to students across the country.If you are passionate about modifying physical activities, promoting health and wellness, and helping students with diverse physical, cognitive, or developmental needs access fitness—all while enjoying the flexibility to build a schedule around your life—we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do:

    • Deliver engaging, individualized virtual physical education tailored to each student's physical abilities, motor development goals, and unique learning profile.
    • Create structured, modified fitness plans that align with student IEP goals, targeting areas such as gross motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and spatial awareness.
    • Adapt instruction in real time based on student engagement, physical capabilities, and home environment constraints, creatively using household items or limited spaces for safe, active movement.
    • Track student progress and communicate effectively with families, IEP teams, and school district partners to ensure regulatory compliance and transparent reporting on motor skill development.
