Duties and Responsibilities  | Web Standards & Compliance Leadership
Lead the implementation and maintenance of web compliance and quality assurance standards, including accessibility (WCAG), UX best practices, content quality, and brand alignment. Serve as the product owner for compliance-related processes and tools within Loyola’s enterprise CMS (Terminalfour). Monitor web performance and compliance using Siteimprove, Google, and other tools (including AI platforms); analyze findings and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Own and manage workflows, permissions, tools, and contributor guidelines that support effective governance and content quality control across LUC.edu. Identify gaps in compliance, recommend solutions, and track resolution progress through defined processes.

Partnership & Enablement
Act as a trusted advisor to campus web contributors, providing clear guidance on how to meet standards without sacrificing user experience or content effectiveness. Lead contributor training, onboarding, and the development of self-service resources, including documentation, how-to guides, and compliance checklists. Collaborate closely with the rest of the UMC Digital team on projects, including direct support on design builds as needed.

Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Define and manage the web compliance roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that improve accessibility, UX, and brand consistency. Use behavioral data, accessibility audits, and content quality insights to drive continuous improvements and inform web strategy. Facilitate regular compliance reviews, reporting progress and metrics to key stakeholders across the institution.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience  | Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of experience in design/marketing environment with a significant focus on Web projects and Web programming. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications  | 5+ years of experience in web management, UX, digital product ownership, or accessibility compliance. Deep understanding of accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG 2.1), SEO best practices, UX/UI principles, and content governance frameworks. Proficiency with enterprise CMS platforms (Terminalfour strongly preferred) and compliance monitoring tools such as Siteimprove. Experience working collaboratively across marketing, design, and development teams, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and solution delivery. Knowledge of design systems, pattern libraries, and responsive web design principles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex compliance concepts in an approachable, actionable way. Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
