| Job Summary | Design, prototype, and test information architectures for the Huntsman Cancer Institute websites. Serve as the UX subject matter expert for digital user needs, behaviors, and pain points, including those of cancer patients, caregivers, and referring providers. Create intuitive user experiences using design concepts. Collaborate with back-end developers as well as marketing and communications teams to meet organizational objectives. Translate ideas and concepts into wireframes, mockups, user flows, process flows, journey mapping, and site maps. Use a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools (e.g., Figma). Conduct user studies and usability tests, working to improve designs. As part of a multidisciplinary team, meet with stakeholders to discuss requirements and use analytics to inform user-centered designs, then communicate and present to key stakeholders. As necessary, assist web team with general site maintenance and updates. Partner closely with the University of Utah Health enterprise UX team to align on design standards, contribute to and leverage the shared design system, and participate in regular collaboration sessions. | Minimum Qualifications | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). 2-4 years of experience in web design or a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a the web design field. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. |
