The College-Education is hiring a Web Developer II. This role leads the design and development of user-centered web experiences that support research, academic programs, marketing, and grant projects while emphasizing accessibility and WordPress CMS customization. The developer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create scalable, brand-aligned digital solutions.
Highlights
Lead user experience design and front-end development for college websites and applications.
Facilitate stakeholder sessions to develop wireframes, user flows, and functional specifications.
Ensure designs meet WCAG AA accessibility standards and usability best practices.
Develop and maintain WordPress child themes, templates, and plugin configurations.
Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for WordPress CMS usage.
Collaborate with faculty and research teams to create web/mobile applications for data collection and reporting.
Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and basic SQL for WordPress customization.
Partner with communications specialists to analyze site performance using Google Analytics and improve SEO and accessibility.
Requires a Bachelor's degree with two years experience or an Associate degree with four years experience; preferred fields include computer science or user experience design.
Position is time-limited and soft-funded with salary commensurate to education and experience.
