**This is a hybrid role where you will work 3 days/week from the office and 2 days/week from your home office.

Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Website Application Development, the Front-end Developer will be a part of a team that is dedicated to the ongoing development and quality assurance of our websites—using multiple coding languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP). This individual will help evolve our websites by ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties.  The ideal candidate is passionate about building UIs that solve complex problems and are delightful to use. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Produce, maintain and modify websites and user interfaces.
  • Incorporate applications, graphics, audio and video into websites.
  • Work closely with web designers and other marketing team members to enhance design system.
  • Ensure websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones.
  • Optimize page loading times by working with SEO on core vitals.
  • Develop re-usable, maintainable, accessible cross-platform HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front end web application components while adhering to web and team standards.
  • Working in a Continuous Integration paradigm, develops with testing in mind; authors unit tests to provide sufficient testing coverage for each developed component.
  • Seek opportunities to improve front end performance of the web application.
  • Work with creative and business partners to understand, build and adjust web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals.
  • Work with project technical lead and/or front-end architect to create technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Work with web development leads and architects to develop an in-depth knowledge of the front-end technology stack.
  • Be coachable in the areas of tech design, implementation and domain expertise.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail throughout the development process.
  • Remain curious and current with new developments in the front-end web development industry.
Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field. 

Skills/Experience
  • Well-versed in HTML5, CSS3,Javascript, and Responsive Design.
  • Knowledge of front-end performance best-practices and optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of accessibility best-practices and knowledge of WCAG2.X.
  • Comfortable working with multiple developers and utilizing version control tools (Git, GitHub).
  • Familiarity with configuring and working with front-end build tools (Gulp, Webpack, Babel, etc.).
  • Comfortable de-bugging CSS and JS issues.
  • Experience working with Wordpress (or other CMS) is a plus.
  • Experience working with, creating, and maintaining a design system is a plus.
  • Ability to translate creative assets (Figma / Adobe XD) into working prototypes.
  • Mindful of cross-browser compatibility and supporting multiple browsers (Chrome, Fire Fox, Safari, etc.).
  • Experience developing html emails.

  • Background in front end web development with both technical and visual expertise.
  • Web presentation-layer ("UI") specialist developer who bridges the creative and technical aspects of website creation and delivery.

Qualifications (Preferred): 
  • Master's degree. 
  • Experience In SFMC.
  • Experience in higher education. 
  • Project management software. 
  • Adobe Creative Suite; Marketing Automation Systems.
