About the Role
The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a key role on one of Watermark’s engineering teams, conducting both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated testing for web applications and enjoy proactive collaboration with a small team.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
• Develop, maintain, and execute regression tests to ensure consistent performance across releases
• Collaborate with an agile software development team to lead quality assurance efforts and perform software testing.
• Consult with quality engineer(s) on business features which need to be coded using behavior driven development
• Assist quality engineer(s) with the design and implementation of software conducive to automated tests
• Collaborate with project team to understand and advise on well-defined and testable acceptance criteria
• Advocate and advance modern quality assurance practices
• Engage in cross-team collaboration with QA Engineers to enhance testing strategies and processes
Optional Skills / Future Aspirations:
• Design user interface automation using IntelliJ, Cucumber/Martini, and Selenium
• Contribute to data setup scripts as needed
• Proactive collaboration and communication skills
• Participate in design and code reviews associated with automation development
• Java Programming
• Experience testing accessibility using accessibility testing tools (Axe-Pro)
Required Qualifications of the Role:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience
• Two or more years of experience in a quality assurance role or equivalent experience
• Ideally one or more years in manual testing and building automated tests for web application
• The ability to troubleshoot and analyze; must be comfortable digging into issues and escalating or solving them appropriately
• Strong work ethic: Ability to work independently, follow a schedule, and meet deadlines
• Experience testing software solutions using manual and automated testing approaches
• Experience testing secure, scalable, and highly available web applications
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Experience with cross-browser testing
• Experience with web application development technologies and concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Watermark is committed to fair and equitable pay practices for all qualified candidates. The pay range for this role is $80K - $110K and varies based on several factors including geographical location, level of experience related to the role, education/ licensure/certificates of the individual filling the role and other business and operational considerations.
