Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Dayton Regional STEM School is seeking an innovative 7th Grade STEM Teacher. This position teaches a required, daily core course for all 7th grade students and is designed to introduce new content across a wide range of STEM fields while building foundational skills that connect directly to the real world and our high school pathways in Health Sciences, Computer Science, and Engineering.
Along with these pathways, students will explore advanced manufacturing, the design thinking process, photonics, robotics, automation, and more. Students will also build on their coding skills while creating and presenting their digital learning portfolios in this course.
The ideal candidate is passionate and can create engaging experiences that spark curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving while participating on a dynamic teaching team to plan hands-on, fully integrated project-based learning experiences for all students.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree by August 1, 2026
• Teaching license or alternative license secured by August 1, 2026
• Outstanding communication and collaborative skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to integrate technology into the classroom
• Experience working with middle school students
• Master’s degree or master’s level coursework
• Project based teaching experience
Essential Functions and percent of time:
~Plan and deliver course instruction for middle school students – 75%
~Collaborate with other teachers to develop and refine content & materials for courses – 20%
~Participate in various meetings (including IEPs, conferences, etc.) and professional development opportunities – 5%

This is a grant funded position with continuation dependent on funding. Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.
