Serve as Academic Advisor, reporting to Director of Academics and Senior Associate AD/ Academics. Primary purpose is to support the Director and perform the duties of an academic advisor, provide academic advising, planning and other support for student-athletes in other areas of course selection, registration procedures, degree requirements and career goals. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with academics in college athletics environment is strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to work with a diverse student-athlete population and communicate effectively with students, professors, peers and parents. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize work tasks and handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
