Overview: The Academic Advisor is responsible for keeping precise records for the academic progress of Methodist College students, meeting with students on a regular basis, and providing feedback and guidance toward successful completion of the degree program in which they are enrolled. Demonstrate an understanding and familiarity with paths to degree attainment for all degrees offered at Methodist College
Assist students with course registration
Serves as the advisor for students during their first term at the College
Effectively communicate institutional standards required for graduation.
Assigns students to a faculty advisor if required by the department
Keeps precise records of student coursework
Schedule regular meetings with advisees
Empowers students with the skills needed to develop an academic plan that helps them reach their academic goals.
Provides the students with support when adjustments to academic plans are neededCollege involvement and collaboration
Works collaboratively throughout the campus community to support student and department developmentStudent orientations
Participates in multi-departmental orientation planning and post orientation evaluation

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $22.61per hour - $37.76per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
