The K-12 Academic Coach supports teachers and district leadership in achieving educational excellence through professional development, curriculum alignment, and evidence-based instructional practices. This role emphasizes collaboration and strategic planning to enhance teacher effectiveness and student outcomes across schools.
This is a hybrid position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. Applicants must reside in Florida and be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
What you will be doing:
- Provide individualized coaching to teachers, focusing on instructional strategies, classroom management, and differentiation techniques.
- Facilitate professional development sessions aligned with district goals and state standards.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching practices.
- Support teachers in integrating technology, data-driven instruction, and innovative teaching tools.
- Assist educators in addressing diverse student needs, including those requiring intervention or enrichment.
- Work with district leadership to develop and implement curriculum frameworks, instructional policies, and assessment strategies.
- Analyze district-wide data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in teaching and learning.
- Coordinate district-wide professional learning communities (PLCs) and collaborative teaching models.
- Serve as a resource for district administrators in planning and executing school improvement strategies.
- Act as a liaison between schools, district leadership, and external partners, such as community organizations or education consultants.
- Communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders, including parents, school boards, and community members.
- Advocate for resources and support to enhance teacher effectiveness and student achievement.
We're looking for someone with:
- Bachelors Degree
- Masters Degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field (preferred).
- Valid teaching certification and significant experience in K-12 education (minimum of 5 years).
- Expertise in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and assessment practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology, data analysis, and professional development tools.
- Ability to build trust and foster collaboration among teachers, administrators, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of state and national education standards, including Common Core or similar frameworks.
- Experience in designing and delivering professional development programs.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing district needs.
- Must be able to travel 50% - 75% of the time.

The pay range for this position is between $50,000 - $90,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
