Staff will be provided a university laptop to be used exclusively for job functions. Staff may be required to come to the University of Utah Main Campus in Salt Lake City, UT at the start and end of their employment to pick-up or return equipment. On-boarding and new employee training will be conducted virtually via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Job Summary  | The Office of Admissions is currently hiring remote Seasonal Admissions Evaluators to assist our undergraduate processing team. These employees assist in all aspects of the student admission and record maintenance process. These employees assist in evaluations of academic transcripts, test scores, and other credentials. Prepare, verify, and enter data into computerized student information systems. These employees manage student university records by performing clerical activities to maintain student files.

The Seasonal Admissions Evaluators will work with the undergraduate admissions team to process applications received for the current admissions cycle and help maintain student records. These employees will correspond with campus partners including students, parents, other on campus departments, etc. to answer questions relating to admission policy, submission and processing of related documentation, and connect students to on campus resources. This position does not include active recruitment of potential applicants.

Responsibilities  | Assist in evaluating undergraduate applications for all University of Utah campuses. Process credentials related to admissions. Monitor student academic files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable. Manage daily work responsibilities and recommend changes to supervisor to improve processes. May be cross-trained in other areas and assigned to assist with other special projects. Other Duties as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  | Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), one of which in an academic setting; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. College coursework in a related area is preferred.
