Position Overview | The Academic Publications and Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the compilation, editing, and maintenance of the General Catalog and the electronic catalog system. Updating and maintaining curricular information and specific faculty information in the BANNER database system. Providing support to the University Curriculum Committee and maintaining the electronic curriculum management system. Advising academic units on policies and procedures for the submission of curricular changes. Providing support to the Office of the Registrar in matters involving the degree audit system, and classroom scheduling. Assisting the classroom scheduling team during peak periods and coordinating curriculum changes with academic scheduling. The person is a member of the Office of the Registrar team and works to achieve University and Office of the Registrar goals.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience | One year experience working in higher education in a position providing experience in curriculum, planning, higher education academic processes OR experience working in publications or marketing Experience in researching, interpreting, and applying policies and procedures Experience editing small and large documents for accurate content, policy, and process in addition to grammatical corrections
Required Education | High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferred | Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:Experience working in a Registrar’s Office or other related field Experience working with university curricular affairs Experience working with electronic catalog systems Experience in situations requiring creative and analytical thinking
Skills/Knowledge/Ability to:Knowledge of UI academic rules and regulations for undergraduate level advising and curriculum Knowledge of Banner, particularly the student module and web interfaces Demonstrated interpersonal skills while working under pressure Ability to understand and clearly explain complex concepts Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness Excellent written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated in application
