Highlights
- Manage a reduced caseload of up to 200 students for proactive academic advising and coaching.
- Coordinate early academic intervention and referrals by connecting students with advisors, instructors, and support services.
- Teach up to three sections of First-Year and Second-Year Seminars integrating skill-building and career exploration.
- Collaborate with advising leadership and First-Year Initiative (FYI) teams to facilitate training and improve student engagement strategies.
- Use analytics and early alert systems to inform outreach and participate in testing student engagement tools.
- Required education: Master’s degree in education, social work, sociology, psychology, leadership, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Preferred experience: 1-3 years in advising, academic coaching, student success, case management, teaching seminars, or group facilitation.
- Position is full-time with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, offering partial remote work opportunities.
- Annual salary is $59,400, exempt from overtime regulations.
- Serves as a liaison among peer mentoring, referrals, early alerts, and campus partners within the college's First-Year Initiative ecosystem.
