Job SummaryThe Academic Support Specialist III supports the comprehensive review of technical programs, including providing curriculum design best practices expertise, logistical support, and technical assistance for the curriculum approval process, to ensure quality and relevant curriculum aligned with current workforce needs and compliant with relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and rules.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.
Job Duties:Facilitate the prescribed review process for technical programs conducting KCTCS Curriculum Review and Alignment, including preparing materials, conducting meetings in collaboration with Curriculum Committee Chairs and other SO staff, tracking committee progress through the process, and communicating with committees and SO staff to ensure the prescribed process is completed following the established timeline.

Assist technical curriculum committees with completing curriculum submissions in the CIM software, collaborating closely with SO staff in Academics Programs to ensure curriculum follows guidelines, standards, policies, and any other applicable requirements.

Provide guidance, information, and technical expertise to Curriculum Committees and SO staff supporting curriculum committees, including but not limited to best practices in curriculum design, applicable KCTCS policies, procedures, and guidelines related to curriculum development and revision, and historical curriculum data found across KCTCS platforms.

Manage funds appropriated to support technical program review and alignment, collaborating with other SO staff to ensure all applicable policies and procedures are followed.

Collaborate with SO staff in Academic Programs to ensure curriculum revisions are correct and complete prior to submission for governance review and approval, to assist in finalizing curriculum for catalog publication, and to generate regular and requested curriculum reports.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree and six (6) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
