 About the Role
 The Account Development Representative will be a strategic member of the sales team responsible for outbound prospecting only. The goal of the role is to uncover qualified sales opportunities at the largest Higher Education institutions in a specific territory. The role will bring an opportunity to be a self-starter, elevate your cold calling and cold outreach skills, and practice initial conversations with clients to see if they are a qualified lead. No leads will come from marketing as this is strictly an outbound hunter role. This role will report into the Vice President of Sales.
 
 Key Responsibilities of the Role
 • Create and uncover sales opportunities with both new and existing customer accounts through well-planned demand generation making extensive use of outbound calling and web tools to generate customer interest
 • Identify a customer’s business needs and articulate how Watermark’s solutions can address those needs
 • Collaborate with Account Executives on account strategy and demand generation activities within a specific territory
 • Attend trade shows to represent Watermark and create opportunities
 • Research accounts to determine key decision makers, competitive technology being used, strategic initiatives and other research to aid in demand generation efforts
 • Set discovery calls for Account Executives and occasionally attend those discovery calls to hand off the opportunity
 
 Requirements
 • BS or BA degree
 • Strong business acumen
 • Minimum 2 years of SaaS SDR/BDR or sales experience
 • Salesloft or Salesforce experience preferred but not required
 • Excited about identifying opportunities and collaborating to win deals
 • Ability to remain focused and follow-through on plans
 • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 • Confident, driven, self-starter with strong organizational skills
 • Entrepreneurial spirit, likes to try new things, doesn’t like to wait for guidance
 • Comfortable in a metrics-driven organization
 • Proficient in Office suite products
