Description
This position will require you to be in the Greater Cleveland, OH Area We are presently in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH
The Account Manager's responsibilities include developing and managing relationships with a variety of content partners. This includes developing new accounts, delivering a target number of new accounts and/or business objective conclusions, maintaining contact with assigned accounts to ensure content flow, and contributing to business model development.
Responsibilities:
Maintain acquisitions databases and enter new and updated licensing terms into rights management systems.
Assist with basic contract amendments for new title acquisitions and rights updates on existing titles.
Review new title avails and screen potential acquisitions as needed.
Build strong partner relationships through tailored, focused, and consistent engagements.
Develop new prospects and interact with existing partners primarily by email and phone to support relationship and sales objectives.
Maintain relationships and favorable rapport with current and potential accounts.
Work with team members in support of common objectives.
Resolve partner issues and problems, research solutions, and make recommendations to increase sales.
Handle small partner accounts.
Negotiate and resolve agreements while sustaining and renewing partner contracts.
Provide support to partners via email or phone and conduct in-person visits as appropriate.
Coordinate and conduct in-person meetings with assigned accounts under direct supervision.
Prepare and provide internal reports on individual and market activities.
Maintain film and film industry knowledge through the review of industry resources, including public relations material from publishers, collection development newsletters, industry publications, blogs, and book news websites.
Develop and demonstrate novice-level subject matter expertise in one or more content areas.
Contribute to the development of team documentation and information resources.
Rely on specific instruction and direction, along with limited experience and judgment, to plan and accomplish goals.
Maintain records of work and progress on objectives and goals through regular in-person updates and reports.
Make suggestions and/or recommendations relative to improvements in systems, department operations, processes, etc.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
0–3 years of related experience (i.e., partner service, account management, communications, and sales).
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with partner contacts, outside vendors/contractors, and internal staff.
Confident and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Inquisitive nature and problem-solving skills to conduct and apply research for account needs.
Basic knowledge of the film industry.
Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
