We are in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH
The Account Manager's responsibilities include driving revenue growth for OverDrive’s K-12 partners. They achieve this by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers within a school, maximizing content sales, and increasing student and staff usage of Sora, the student reading app. Additionally, this role serves as the primary point of contact for partners, providing ongoing management of their OverDrive service to ensure continued revenue generation.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth and/or other revenue supporting KPIs in assigned territory based on set targets.
- Be knowledgeable on all relevant OverDrive products, services, capabilities, and processes, such as Sora, OverDrive Marketplace, purchase order management, and contract management.
- Serve as the primary contact for partners for sales opportunities, questions, concerns, and requests. Triage and direct inquiries to internal teams as appropriate.
- Work collaboratively and meet regularly with your territory team.
- Regularly travel to key accounts to hold partner meetings and attend trade shows and other on-site events.
- Participate in meetings with sales leadership to present progress toward goals and collaborate on sales strategies. Maintain a pipeline to forecast territory sales progress.
- Develop understanding of the K-12 market.
- Maintain data of partner information into Salesforce.
- Leverage all communication tools including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Zoom, Slack, Salesforce, and Confluence to connect with partners and collaborate with internal teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1 - 3+ years’ of consultative sales experience, or K-12education experience.
- Confident, proactive, and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage cross group relationships within OverDrive (i.e., territory teams, marketing, training, etc.).
- Team player.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Must acquire and maintain knowledge of OverDrive's products and strategies, competitors and software/mobile devices.
- Outstanding Microsoft Office skills.
