Description of Work  | The Public Policy Center (PPC) is a fast-paced office of diverse people and projects. The Staff interact with stake-holders at all levels within the University, local, state, and federal government, and leaders of public and private sector organizations. Individual must have the ability to interact with staff and stakeholders (at all levels) with a high level of professionalism.
Employee will provide executive assistance and administrative support for the Center Director, Senior Research Director, and Operations manager by: managing communications and informational flows; managing calendars, appointments; compiling and preparing materials for meetings and projects; handling arrangements and logistics for virtual and in-person meetings, conferences, and special events; making travel arrangements; processing reimbursements; and obtaining goods and services. Will assist directors in preparation and coordination of processes and products including: creating and proofing a wide variety of documents in word processing, spreadsheet, online survey, and other software products; coordinating multi-step communications and tracking responses; compiling metrics that illustrate Center activity; researching products and services; assembling and uploading components for grant proposals and reporting; drafting correspondence.

Center leadership will rely on employee to identify opportunities to improve office efficiency and overall workflow and to ensure office is appropriately maintained.

Minimum Required Qualifications  | Associates or equivalent education/ experience and two (2) years relevant experience. Excellent computer skills necessary. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a knowledge of office equipment required. Must possess demonstrated organizational skills, and an ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications  | Two (2) years of executive assisting experience is preferred. Administrative experience in a University setting is preferred.
