Job Summary  | The Administrative Services Assistant Principal will play a critical role as the PPMS Lead in the Research Administrative & Fiscal Affairs (RAFA) office. This position will support the success of the core facilities within the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) area. This position oversees system administration, billing operations, and data management within the Stratocore PPMS platform, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all OVPR facilities.

Serving as the institutional subject matter expert for PPMS, this role leads the creation, configuration, and optimization of system functions, manages integrations with SAP, and provides expert-level guidance to Facility Managers and service center staff. The administrator directs monthly billing operations, validates financial transactions, and ensures that recharge income is processed accurately and in accordance with university and federal guidelines.

In addition to managing reporting, data integrity, and rate structures within PPMS, the PPMS Lead collaborates with Research Information Services, Campus IT, and the software vendor to continuously improve system functionality and institutional reporting. This position requires strong technical, analytical, and financial management skills, along with the ability to translate complex data processes into clear and compliant operational practices.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative and detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage the PPMS platform and financial processes across multiple research units. This position plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, fiscal integrity, and transparency in support of the University of Kentucky’s research mission.
