Job Description  | The position supports the Science and Technology Entry Program, a sponsored program funded by New York State Education Department.

This is a 20 hours/week part-time position.
This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
Education and Experience  | Associate’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience in office administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills and Knowledge  | Demonstrated ability managing budgets, accounts payable and receivable in University setting. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office and Adobe Professional suite. Ability to design and maintain database-using ACCESS and website content editing (desirable). Ability to work within a team, independently, use initiative and make key decisions quickly. Demonstrated experience in event coordination inclusive of ordering equipment, food, and vendor payment. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional problem solving and customer service skills. Strong attention to details and ability to interact with parents/students from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of University setting desirable.

Responsibilities  | Monitor sizable grant funded budgets, incomes, disbursements, and expenditures. Provide fiscal updates to the Program Director and Assistant Director. Manage the credit card reconciliation submission, reimbursements, and prepare financial documents UPMCS, IDs, Travel Vouchers, Reimbursements, E-Pro, JE, etc.) for the office. Maintain student records, databases and other confidential documents. Conduct student review of applications, follow up with parents/legal guardians for documents. Assist with sending out weekly emails, tutorial requests, and program updates for 125 participants. Contact schools and/or guidance counselors for report cards and other academic documents. Other duties as assigned.
