JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking a motivated candidate to fill a part-time Academic Support position to join the Center for Science and the Schools (CSATS) at Penn State, University Park, PA.
Required experience includes:
  • Serve as a point of contact for the vendors and participants.
  • May coordinate travel arrangements, make reservations, and process reimbursements/
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies and materials, prepare training materials, and coordinate work between teams for the project activities.
  • Provide support for scheduling, managing calendars, and travel arrangements for the faculty and the participants.
  • Experience working in SIMBA, SAP Concur, 25live, and procurement.
  • Process invoice for the participants and visiting faculty.
  • Manage participants' applications and information.
  • Resolve inquiries and ensure compliance with the work unit's and/or the University's policies and procedures.
  • Assist with virtual and In-person meetings (Setting up and managing). 
  • Manage tasks for website management and communication platforms.
  • Communicate with the participants on the PSU/federal rules, policies, and guidelines.
  • May coordinate work assignments of department/unit support employees to ensure efficient workflow and process.
  • Knowledge of program implementation and experience in program management.
  • Dedication to working with a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • May perform non-routine and confidential administrative duties, and proxy responsibilities as authorized.
Requirements, qualifications, education and/or competencies:
  • General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
Employment Details:
  • Wages: $21-25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
  • Hours: 18-24 hours per week during the year.
  • Duration: With potential renewal based on performance and funding
