Job SummaryThe Admissions Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Recruiter on the Downtown campus.
Job Duties:Duties include:
· Focused recruitment of high school students, as well as participating in recruitment opportunities for transfer students and non-traditional students, including adult learners aged 25 and older
· Participating in college and/or career fairs and recruiting events at local high schools and other locations throughout the community
· Scheduling and hosting Admissions presentations, Application Squads and Next Steps Squads at high schools located in the 10 counties Jefferson services
· Advising potential applicants on the Admissions and Enrollment process and following up as appropriate when questions arise
· Maintaining communication with prospective students using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and other web-based recruiting/retention services
· Helping students apply for scholarships (Ex: Evolve502, Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship, JCTC Freshman scholarships, etc.) and working with them throughout the Jefferson application process
· Providing campus tours to groups and individuals as needed, with a focus on large group tours for high schools within the region
· Building and maintaining good relationships with high school, university, and other educational institution personnel
· Preparing student records for all students who attend Jefferson Welcome Days & Registration & Advising Days (RAD)
· Facilitation of on campus outreach events such as Registration & Advising Days, Express Enrollment, Open House, & Jefferson Welcome Days
· Serving on college-wide committees related to orientation and student success
· Assisting with account updates, high school transcript, and test score processing as needed.
-Assisting with first time student advising and registration as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (Education with focus on Counseling or Student Affairs or related field) with two years related experience, or equivalent. Travel to all campuses as well as some evening & weekend work is required.
Preferred Qualifications:• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Experience in public speaking, conducting tours, college orientation or college admissions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated excellent organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, and outside partners
