Admissions Officer for International Programs - Temporary Full Description

Position Summary
The Admissions Officer is the primary member of the admissions team that serves as the liaison for the Dual BA Program between Sciences Po and Columbia University. This includes responsibilities to recruit applicants and evaluate applications for admission while working in collaboration with Sciences Po. The Admissions Manager will also be responsible for organizing and executing recruitment planning for International Programs at GS, while also helping to coordinate the management of the Dual BA read cycle. They will help organize the interview process for candidates as well as the joint Admissions Committee review process between Science Po and Columbia. The Admissions Manager will also participate in all admissions related activities at the School of General Studies, including potential new future international programs.

Responsibilities
Recruitment: Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Admissions and working with the GS recruiting team at Columbia, and in conjunction with Sciences Po, the Admissions Officer will help design and analyze recruitment strategies and communications efforts for the Dual BA Program. They will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and attending recruitment events (regional information sessions, college fairs, virtual events and selected high school visits) to explain and promote the International Programs to students and their parents, guidance counsellors and teachers. The Admissions Officer is also responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with feeder schools and will help to identify and cultivate new relationships with institutions. They will be the one of primary contacts in the GS Admissions Office for prospective students interested in applying to the Dual BA Program. They will also be responsible for reporting and providing feedback on recruitment to Sciences Po. The Admissions Manager is also the primary organizer of Admitted Students Day for the Dual BA Program. Travel and work on nights and weekends will be required for some recruitment events.
Sciences Po Admissions: The Admissions Officer is a member of the Admissions Committee for the Dual BA Program. They will review applicants for the Dual BA Program and make initial recommendations to the committee. They will also organize and participate in the required interview process for all applicants being considered for admissions. The Admissions Manager will also coordinate the Dual BA admissions committee process between Sciences Po and Columbia, with the responsibility of entering admissions committee decisions into the CRM: Slate.
International Admissions: While the Science Po Dual BA Program is the primary focus of the position, the Admissions Manager will provide general support, and participate in all Admissions efforts for all international programs at the School of General Studies. This can include recruitment activities, applicant evaluations and potential coordination of new international programs in the future.
Operations: The Admissions Officer will be the primary liaison to the Operations Department at the School of General Studies to collaborate and help ensure quality/maintenance on email management for the Dual BA Program, appropriate prospective student list purchases and the coordination of on-campus information session scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent required; at least 6 months of experience in admissions, higher education, or other relevant professional experience is required; excellent interpersonal skills required; experience with Slate and proficiency with Windows and MS Office and other computer systems at the University highly desirable. Fluency in English; and the ability to work independently is required. A driver’s license is required.
