About the Department:The Division for Enrollment Management, as part of the Office of the Provost at George Mason University, supports student recruitment, retention, and success. We develop and implement strategic enrollment management plans, create and facilitate processes, and inform policies that guide students through their academic journey from recruitment to post-matriculation. About the Position:
The Admissions Operations Assistant will serve as needed in a variety of Admissions Operations spaces, rotating to learn each units’ roles and responsibilities serving as an agile team member.This is an ongoing position, and we are seeking an individual who will become a long-term team member.
Responsibilities:
Support the daily review of undergraduate freshmen, transfers, graduate, and non-degree domicile statuses;Process supporting domiciliary documentation;Process transcripts or other supporting documentation;Review of undergraduate non-degree admissions applications;Respond to inquiries from a variety of sources and provide information to necessary parties in a timely and professional manner;Serve as a back-up graduate processing specialist;Provide administrative support to the admissions specialists and an enhanced customer service experience to our applicants;Assist with processing credit by exams and transfer credit equivalencies; andAdditional responsibilities as assigned to help support the Office of Admissions.

Effective written and verbal communication skills;Ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse populations;Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team environment;Ability to perform work with substantial attention to detail;Ability to learn policies and procedures quickly; andDemonstrated customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;Data entry experience;Experience with Ellucian Banner software, Salesforce CRM, and/or TES (Transfer Evaluation System); andBilingual.
