Job Summary/Basic Function | The Admissions Office provides support to students, faculty, staff, parents, counselors and other clients in the areas of admission and residency. As one of the first departments that students will interact with, the Admissions Office prides itself on its ability to welcome all incoming students with excellent customer service.
Provide in-depth customer service to students, faculty, staff, parents and counselors that effectively meets their needs in person, over the phone and email. Many situations are unique and Admissions Processing Assistant must use knowledge of the student information system, campus functions and problem solving skills to assist individuals.
Effectively respond to incoming phone calls and check work email consistently throughout the shift.
Daily packaging and mailing of Admissions Office materials.
Recording and entry of transcripts, test scores and reports into a student information system, and other clerical duties as assigned.
This is a part-time hourly position that will continue year round. This is a M-F 4 hours/day position. There are Morning, Midday, and Afternoon shifts. The office hours are 8 AM -5 PM M-Th and 8 AM -4:30 PM F.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Basic computer skills
Available during shift times for office coverage
If hired, employees will be required to take FERPA training within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
-Customer service experience
-Strong communication and composition skills
-Weber State knowledge and experience.
-Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Banner
-Reliable, detail oriented and self motivated
-Willingness to learn and respectfully receive correction
