Admissions & Recruitment Program Manager Full Description

Overview:

Touro University Nevada Office of Admissions is seeking a full-time Admissions & Recruitment Program Manager to be responsible for increasing and meeting TUN’s enrollment goals through coordinated, planned, and data driven recruitment practices.    The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and experienced in creating a seamless transition for the student from the application to the enrollment stage. The manager is responsible for meeting acceptance and enrollment goals of one or more academic programs and provides information to prospective students on all aspects of the University. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the University’s core values of social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity through their work.

Responsibilities:

The manager provides prospect support to the directors, processes candidate applications and executes the admissions process from prospective applicant through matriculation.  Assist with the review of applications to the specified program, including evaluation of primary and secondary applications, personal statements, and letters of recommendation to assist with the faculty review. Formulate and implement a comprehensive recruitment and admissions plan that includes targeted advertising, travel, campus visits and managing the full admissions funnel for the specific assigned programs including applicants and accepted students.  Additionally, this position uses independent authority and discretion and is authorized to commit the University to admissions decisions within assigned programs.  The position also includes funnel management to build inquiry pools to reach established enrollment goals.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Process applications and manage the application process.
  2. Communicate via phone, email and letters to prospective applicants and accepted students.
  3. Maintain communication with prospective applicants to encourage and support completion of the application process.
  4. Independently evaluate completed files and make admission decisions based on established criteria.
  5. Serve as a liaison with other student service departments.
  6. Create statistical reports and provide analytical data to assist with recruitment, enrollment, and yield strategies.
  7. Assist with the development of effective marketing and recruitment strategies.
  8. Serve as a recruiter for specified programs.
  9. Work with leadership to achieve enrollment goals.
  10. Serve as a liaison and engaged member within the Division of Student Affairs and University community, participating in committees, events, and projects, including but not limited to working all major University events sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs as requested.
  11. Show openness to learning about individuals from diverse backgrounds and demographics, demonstrates an inclusive attitude toward all social identities.

Qualifications:

Education:       

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:     

  • Significant experience in recruitment, admissions, or student services

Skills & Abilities:         

  • Must be able to travel for in state and out-of-state recruitment and professional development utilizing various forms of transportation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and formal speech
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to exercise sound judgement
