Advanced Specialist, Marketing Project Manager Full Description

Role Summary

The PVS Marketing Project Manager is a critical enablement role responsible for driving prioritization, clarity, and execution across high‑impact marketing initiatives. This role exists to ensure that the right work is prioritized and delivered to improve marketing performance , particularly across Web and SEO , where PVS is increasing our focus.

Acting as both a strategic thought partner and hands‑on project manager, this role will work closely with Web, SEO, Brand, Analytics, IT, and across the PVS Marketing Team to translate performance goals into well‑sequenced, executable plans. The Project Manager will also own and evolve PVS Marketing's project management approach in Wrike , creating visibility, discipline, and consistency across the organization.

This role regularly interfaces with senior leadership,and requires strong judgment, confidence, and the ability to navigate complexity.

Core Responsibilities

Web & SEO Impact Enablement

  • Partner with Web and SEO leads to prioritize initiatives that drive measurable performance impact .

  • Translate performance goals and investment focus into clearly scoped, sequenced project plans.

  • Ensure Web and SEO resources are focused on the highest‑value work, balancing strategic initiatives with operational needs.

Project Prioritization & Planning

  • Lead prioritization discussions across Web, SEO, and adjacent marketing teams to align work with business objectives.

  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and dependency maps.

  • Proactively identify risks, tradeoffs, and capacity constraints, bringing solutions and recommendations forward.

Cross ‑ Functional Delivery

  • Coordinate work across internal teams (Web, SEO, Creative, Brand, Content, Analytics, IT) and external agencies.

  • Facilitate project rhythms including kickoffs, status reviews, dependency management, and retrospectives.

  • Drive accountability and momentum to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard.

Leadership Communication & Visibility

  • Provide clear, concise status updates and prioritization views to marketing leadership.

  • Prepare and deliver updates for senior stakeholders

  • Clearly articulate progress, risks, and recommendations in a leadership‑ready manner.

Wrike Ownership & Process Leadership

  • Own and evolve the PVS Marketing project management framework in Wrike .

  • Establish and maintain standards for intake, prioritization, workflows, and reporting.

  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of ways of working to increase focus, efficiency, and transparency across Marketing.

Required Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of experience in project management, marketing operations, or related roles.

  • Experience managing digital marketing initiatives, preferably including Web and/or SEO.

  • Strong prioritization, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.

  • Experience owning or administering project management tools and workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in education, digital marketing, or matrixed organizations.

  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.

  • Experience coordinating external agencies or vendors.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, experience, and location.

The full-time salary range for this role is $ 110,000 - $ 130,000 annually.
