Role Summary
Primary Focus: The Content Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for delivering the full end-to-end content package, encompassing chapter, module, or lesson text; images; videos and animations; interactive learning tools; assessments; and supplemental resources, and final files on time, on budget, and to specification. The CPM balances project requirements and resource constraints, drives process improvements to align execution with project goals, and ensures efficient delivery. They coordinate the efforts of editorial, learning design, media, vendor and QA teams, ensuring smooth execution of the content development process. The CPM is the single point of accountability for project execution, milestone tracking, and handoff to publishing or platform teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of all content and components for assigned titles, projects, and programs.
Build, maintain and coordinate project workflow schedules, budgets, and resource plans (including internal and external contributors) across all content development workstreams.
Manage and ensure deliverables from production vendors/external contributors meet established budget, schedule, and quality acceptance criteria.
Track & report progress against milestones. Participate and/or lead production kick-off and/or status meetings.
Identify, resolve, or escalate operational risks, dependencies, and workflow issues. Ensure communication is transparent and timely; proactively maintain project momentum, develop solutions, and mitigate risk with a customer-centric mindset.
Ensure deliverables meet content quality, accessibility, and readiness standards at each gate before hand-offs.
Partner with the Content Strategy & Delivery Manager and Editorial Development team members to maintain alignment with strategic intent.
Deliver high-quality project artifacts and accurate budget and scheduling forecasting to support team/stakeholder decision-making.
Support platform migration and digital delivery efforts by coordinating tasks and tracking progress.
Identify and share opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, streamline processes, and apply best practices across projects.
Should be able to collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team aligned to the US Higher Education organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/PG Diplomas/Master's degree required.
Minimum of 6-8 years publishing experience required.
Minimum 4 years of experience in project management.
Project Management certification, PMP (PMI), or equivalent is a plus.
Proficiency with Project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet), trackers, dashboards, MS Office suite, Alfresco, SharePoint, Confluence, Agile
