About the Opportunity
We are seeking an AI and Automation Associate Consultant to join our Professional Services team at Ellucian. This is not a typical entry-level consulting role. As an AI & Automation Associate Consultant at Ellucian you will join a pioneering team at the forefront of digital transformation in Higher Education.
This is a career-launching role, where you will support the design and implementation of automation solutions, gain hands-on experience with tools like UiPath, and participate in structured enablement, including on-the-job training and access to certifications in AI, DevOps, and RPA.
You will obtain real-world project experience and mentorship from industry leaders, assist senior team members in delivering automation projects that improve business processes for our customers, all while building expertise in one of the most sought-after skill sets in enterprise software.

Where You Will Make an Impact:
- Assist in the development and testing of automation workflows using UiPath.
- Support senior consultants with documentation, data gathering, and solution configuration.
- Participate in process mapping sessions and help identify tasks suitable for automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and contribute to solution design.
- Learn and apply Agile practices, including attending sprint meetings and using tools like Jira.
- Help maintain documentation for automation solutions, including user guides and support materials.
- Stay current with trends in automation and AI to support continuous learning and team knowledge sharing.
What You Will Bring:
- 1–2 years of relevant experience or academic background in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with RPA tools (UiPath preferred) through coursework, internships, or hands-on projects.
- Hunger to grow in a high-demand space and take ownership of your learning and impact.
- Desire to be part of a team that moves fast, learns out loud, and builds to scale.
- Excitement about being trained to become an expert in automation, AI systems, and enterprise process optimization.
- Basic understanding of Agile methodology and tools like Jira.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks with supervision.
- Not Required, But Preferred:
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with APIs, SQL databases, or low-code/no-code automation platforms.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
- Internship or coursework experience related to consulting, automation, or enterprise software.
