We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is key to ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions and will support both AP and AR functions. You’ll work cross-functionally to maintain vendor relationships, support customer collections, and contribute to a smooth month-end close process.
The impact you'll have:
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Manage full-cycle AP processing through Airbase, including vendor bill entry, approvals, and payments.
- Maintain AP aging and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Review and validate supporting documentation and approval workflows for accuracy and compliance.
Accounts Receivable Support
- Support in registering with Customers portals and collecting PO information to ensure quick payment on invoices.
- Accurately apply customer payments in NetSuite.
- Support the collections process by liaising with internal teams and communicating with customers.
- Investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash transactions.
Month-End & Process
- Support monthly close processes related to AP and AR.
- Partner with the Accounting team to identify and implement process improvements.
- Support external audits and participate in ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
What you'll bring:
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth technology environment.
- Proficiency in AP system such as Airbase, ERP platforms such as NetSuite, and payment processing system like Stripe (preferred).
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with accounting automation tools a plus.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

U.S. Pay Range
$70,000—$87,000 USD

SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience.
