About You
We’re looking for an ASO Marketing Manager to join our amazing marketing team and help us grow chess! In this role you’ll focus on optimizing the performance of our core Chess.com app, as well as a few other smaller apps, in the iOS and Android App Stores. You will work with our designers to experiment with new icons and images, and work with our events and product teams to highlight features, content, activations, and our subscription premium product.
The ideal candidate will have deep and demonstrable experience growing apps from store presence to install to registration and beyond! You’ll dive into the data and look for opportunities to grow, as well as stay on top of best practices in the industry to maximize our presence. And most of all, you will be excited to grow chess!
What you'll do
- Manage our core Chess.com, and other supporting apps, presence in the iOS and Android app stores
- Monitor and report on performance across all key metrics (installs, uninstalls, reviews, install rates, registration rates, etc)
- Leverage events and other tools to drive engagement of both active and lapsed players
- Work with other teams like product, content, and monetization to use the app store as a growth tool
- Partner with design, copyrighting, and other teams to best represent the joy of chess for prospective players!
- Coordinate with our review monitoring team to capture and act on insights and user feedback
Preferred Skills
- 4+ years of managing app store presence for apps at scale
- Deep analytical curiosity and meticulousness
- Strong marketing instincts combined with knowledge of best practices
- Ability to take ownership of initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain decisions and present data-backed solutions
- Sense of ownership, responsibility, and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance the overall user experience and business impact
