GENERAL DESCRIPTION | Working collaboratively within the Enrollment Division, specifically with the Office of Global Services, Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions to process all Illinois Tech issued Form I-20 and Form DS-2019 applications for all international students sponsored by Illinois Tech.
This role will conduct daily activities that include but are not limited to:· Reviewing application materials, issuing Form I-20 and Form Ds-2019 documents for admitted and incoming international students;· Maintaining integrity of application/applicant data by resolving errors within systems; communicating with applicants regarding questions related to the application process.· Incumbent will perform ancillary admission task, including admission material creation and shipment, act as a designated school official (DSO), and applicant data entry.

Qualifications
Education & Experience | High School Diploma required or the equivalent of education and experience with admission processes for domestic and international applicants. Bachelor’s degree in a field related to higher education preferred. Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant work experience in a higher education environment. Experience with international student and exchange scholar populations and regulations, including understanding of SEVIS, F-1, and J-1 visa requirements.Very strong preference for experience with Ellucian products: ISSM (fsaATLAS) and Banner. Expertise in use of MS Office applications, especially, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience in use of university student and personnel information systems. Familiarity with FERPA regulations. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, organizational, analytical, and oral/written communication skills. Ability to multitask, work independently, manage complex projects.
Knowledge & Skills | Must have strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills required.Ability to maintain efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibility | · Evaluate graduate and undergraduate application and financial documents received, to ensure they meet the needs and requirements of the institution and department for review;· Act as a Designated School Official (DSO) and an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), incumbent will be responsible for creating Forms I-20 and Form Ds-2019s within 48 hours of document submission, for incoming F-1 and incoming J-1 international students and exchange visitors.· Maintains data integrity by correcting applicant and system errors. Weekly review of error reports including but not limited to, name and DOB corrections, decision entry errors, technical errors, and student type errors.
Percentage Of Time | 75Key Responsibility | Respond to internal and external communication within 2-5 business days, depending on the time of year and volume. External communication is managed within system through a queue system and is shared among all staff.
