The Assistant Director for Gamecock Recovery promotes a healthy environment and lifestyle for students in recovery from substance use disorders by providing tools and support for academic success, professional development, and campus and community support. The Assistant Director for Gamecock Recovery plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates educational, social, and service opportunities that connect students in recovery to each other and the USC experience as well as educating students, faculty and staff about recovery. In addition, this position provides direct support to individual students, including screening and brief intervention, creating recovery support plans as appropriate, and connecting students to a referral network of campus and community resources.
