Department: Bauer Career Services Ctr
Salary: 56,800 - 64,600
Description: Directs an ongoing university program to ensure that prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with its mission and/or specified objectives. Prepares short- and long-term goals and objectives.

1. Plans, develops and administers methods, strategies and procedures for meeting program objectives; directs and oversees the daily activities of staff members.
2. Prepares and monitors the annual budget and ensures that expenditures are within budget allocation.
3. Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinate personnel, activities concerned with carrying out the objectives of the program.
4. Directs the preparation of and reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objectives; modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attains objectives.
5. Analyzes trends within program areas, maintaining expert awareness of program information and change needs.
6. Formulates, implements, and maintains appropriate policies and procedures concerning program administration.
7. Manages and administers grant for program, including meetings, communication coordination, scholarships and other operations.
8. May prepare or participate in the preparation of proposals to obtain grants from state and federal agencies, and private foundation sponsors.
9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Description:
This position works in the Rockwell Career Center at the C. T. Bauer College of Business. The Assistant Director of Graduate Career Education will play a vital role in enhancing the career development of our graduate business students through the creation and delivery of innovative, forward-thinking career education and professional development programming. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by graduate students in the business field and will be adept at designing and implementing impactful career programs and initiatives for both domestic and international students.

Position includes the following responsibilities but not limited to:

1. Develop and deliver career education programming tailored to the diverse needs of graduate business students.
2. Create career education programs specific to international students requiring visa sponsorship with a sound understanding of the rules around OPT and CPT.
3. Provide one-on-one career coaching and guidance to students in tandem with education programs helping them navigate job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, and networking.
4. Collaborate with industry partners to create internship and job opportunities for students.
5. Stay informed on industry trends and employment market changes to adjust programming accordingly.
6. Interest in creating marketing campaigns as needed, to encourage students’ awareness of and engagement with the career services offered through the Rockwell Career Center. Will work in cooperation with the college’s Office of Communications.
7. Engage with Graduate Business Associations and organizations to foster relationships and enhance student involvement.

Preferences:
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in career coaching, leadership training within a business career services office, or a combination of business career services experience and industry experience in a related business industry.
• Experience in marketing, brand management, leadership development, and/or training.
• Active involvement in professional business or industry organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to create new content to build professional development programs for graduate-level students with the ability to identify measurements of understanding.
• Exemplary ability to motivate students through the job search process.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.
