Job Description Summary
Organization's Summary Statement: The Assistant Director of Marketing & Revenue Strategy will serve as part of the Marketing & Revenue Strategy unit within Maryland Athletics, under the direct supervision of the Director of Development Marketing & Revenue Strategy. The Marketing & Revenue Strategy team is responsible for driving ticket sales and Terrapin Club annual fund donor revenues, and the Assistant Director will serve an integral role in developing and implementing strategies to support each area.
In addition to its direct supervisor, this position will also work closely with the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing & Revenue Strategy to maximize ticket revenue and Terrapin Club revenues, increase overall fan/donor engagement, and enhance the Maryland Athletics brand.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting the Director of Development Marketing & Revenue Strategy in the creation and execution of comprehensive communication and marketing strategies for all areas of athletics ticketing and development, lead execution of revenue-generating events and promotional activities, including providing group sales marketing support to the sales team, executing select gameday/donor engagement events, developing special revenue campaigns, etc. Direct marketing oversight of the Student Terrapin Club and Next Gen Terps programs, management of the main Terrapin Club social media channels, assisting the Manager of Digital Marketing & Revenue Generation with email execution and deployment, development and oversight of a student internship program to support revenue initiatives, collaboration with Fan Development & Event Marketing, Development, Strategic Communications & Content Development, Broadcasting & Production, Facilities, Operations & Events and other units to support revenue initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: The scope of the position frequently requires evening, weekend, and holiday work (non-standard work hours). While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee operates a computer and various office devices, including telephones, copy machines, and fax machines; frequently moves around the facility and event site before, during, and after events to assist clients; and consistently communicates with others via telephone, email, and in person to exchange accurate information. The position requires standing, walking, kneeling, or crouching, balancing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of experience in a professional setting.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics administrative structure and responsibilities.
Knowledge of athletics policies and procedures and federal, state, and other applicable, related laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
Ability to multitask and prioritize within unit and department environment as well manage large-scale athletics-related projects.
Additional Job Details
Preferences: Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably within a collegiate or professional athletic department.
