The Assistant Director of Student Involvement for Campus Programs supports the success of campus programs and student involvement. Functional areas include advisement of Campus Activities Board and Homecoming Planning Committee, in addition to oversight of general campus and student center programming.

CAMPUS ACTIVITIES BOARD:Advises, supports and ensures the success of the Campus Activities Board (CAB). The CAB is tasked with producing engagement opportunities for the entire campus community. Recruits, interviews, hires and trains students for the executive board annually Ensures that CAB plans and implements events and experiences for the entire student population Oversees and approves budget expenditures for CAB events and experiences Works to ensure student leaders’ soft skills and leadership development Develops and manages annual budgets for the Campus Activities Board

CAMPUS PROGRAMS:
Responsible for coordination and promotion of programs and events that contribute to retention and the student experience. Support general Student Affairs/Involvement events, as needed. Supports events sponsored by the Office of Student Involvement and the Division of Student Affairs as needed Maintains the Departmental Social Media accounts and Digital Signage platform Use provided campus mealplan to meet with students and build community. Hosts re-occurring events in the Campus Life Center Dining Hall (i.e. Trivia, BINGO, etc.) Share meal plan information at recruitment and orientation events. Address student behavior concerns in dining facilities

HOMECOMING: Works with students, faculty and staff to organize, market and implement student homecoming events. Supports University-wide homecoming initiatives and oversees the coronation of homecoming royalty. Recruits and empowers students to form a planning committee to help plan and implement Homecoming Activities Designs and implements a process to solicit, screen and choose Royalty that includes the student body voting Works with student organizations to design, market and implement student focused homecoming activities

FAIRS:Coordinates Premiere Fair and Winter Blast involvement fairs to effectively accomplish the department goals and objectives. Reserves space, secures resources and Oversee recruitment and registration of internal campus groups and community partners Generates revenue by charging external groups to offset a portion of the operating costs for the fairs Other duties as assigned by Senior Associate Director or Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Engagement & Retention Initiatives.
Qualifications  | Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. A successful background check is required.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials:
A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following area is desirable: student organizational leadership, program planning, marketing/promotions, human relations skills, organizational skills and communication skills.
