In this role, you will be the driving force behind student internationalization — guiding undergraduates through every stage of their global journey, partnering with faculty to launch high-impact programs, and shaping the marketing strategies that inspire students to explore the world.
What You’ll Do
Student Engagement & Program Advising
- Deliver end-to-end support for undergraduate students, including 1:1 advising, program selection, application guidance, pre-departure orientations, and re-entry debriefings.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for student needs, questions, and concerns across the entire study abroad lifecycle.
Program Operations, Budgeting & Campus Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with academic departments and faculty to design and deliver high-quality short-term programs.
- Oversee program budgets in close collaboration with the NDG finance team.
- Define program goals, standardize procedures, and ensure all student and program documentation remains accurate and up to date.
Marketing, Recruitment & Communications
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for summer study abroad, including info sessions, digital campaigns, and campus events.
- Partner with the communications team to design promotional materials, manage web content, write newsletters, and produce social media campaigns.
Strategy, Assessment & Analytics
- Design, deploy, and analyze program assessments and survey reports to continuously evaluate and improve the student experience.
- Maintain accurate program records and assist in preparing executive reports, proposals, and strategy presentations for NDG leadership.
Who You Are
- Deeply passionate about cross-cultural exchange and expanding global opportunities for higher education students.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of collaborating across diverse academic departments, faculty, and administrative teams.
- A balanced approach to creative marketing (social media, events, web) alongside rigorous operational details (budgeting, tracking, risk management).
- Skilled at synthesizing student feedback and data into actionable program improvements and clear executive reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: 3 to 4 years of professional experience in higher education, international education, student advising, or related fields.
- Firsthand experience living, studying, or working outside the United States.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programming within an academic setting.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build trust and engage effectively across diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Skilled in standard office and study abroad industry technologies (e.g., Terra Dotta, Via TRM), collaborative platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams), and social media platforms for outreach.
