Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.  | Master’s degree. 3–5 years of experience in higher education, including program development. Proven ability to collaborate across university departments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills for engaging students and external partners. Ability to solve problems and improve processes independently. Skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with student information systems or CRMs such as Banner SIS and Slate CRM. Capable of creating and delivering presentations to varied audiences. Flexible schedule; available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications  | Experience managing partnerships with community colleges or international education programs. Familiarity with the Davis United World College Scholars Program or similar global scholarship initiatives. Supervisory experience, including mentoring professional staff or graduate assistants. Knowledge of student development theory and best practices in fostering student belonging and engagement. Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, International Education, or a related field.

Job Description  | The Assistant Director, Student Engagement is responsible for assisting the director with implementation of processes and operations within the Office of Strategic Initiatives.

Job Duties  | Oversee the Lamar State College Orange Partnership Oversee development, implementation and assessment of Lamar State College Orange program and initiatives. Develop and execute student programs, services and resources Work directly with Global Operations on achieving goals and deadlines Support AVP Strategic Initiatives with Davis UWC Scholars Program Create media and engage in student outreach specifically related to United World College students. Provide support to and leadership for students accessing TXST and create outreach opportunities for these students. Support and participate in the department’s leadership, assisting the Director of Regional & International Partnerships with overall management of student engagement for various initiatives. Demonstrate care and provide quality service relating to all aspects of student relations and success of specific populations. Regular reporting on metrics of engagement for various activities. Other duties as assigned.
