Lead Workforce Development Enrollment Operations as an Assistant Director at CWI!
The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking an Assistant Director of Workforce Development Enrollment & Operations to lead the day‑to‑day enrollment operations supporting Workforce Development (WD) and Employer Partnerships. This role provides operational leadership across systems, processes, and people to ensure student‑centered, efficient, and scalable enrollment services aligned with institutional and workforce priorities.
As a key operational partner to the Director of Operations and Assistant Vice President (AVP), this position translates divisional strategy into effective execution—driving continuous improvement, strengthening cross‑functional collaboration, and ensuring high‑quality service delivery for students, employers, and internal partners.

Enrollment Operations Leadership:
- Lead and oversee Workforce Development enrollment operations across multiple systems and communication channels
- Ensure enrollment services are student‑centered, efficient, and aligned with institutional and workforce priorities
- Translate divisional goals into operational workflows, tools, and team execution
- Serve as an operational partner to the Director and AVP, supporting implementation of enrollment strategies
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, coach, and develop front‑line enrollment staff
- Foster a high‑performing, service‑oriented team culture focused on accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement
- Support staffing models, scheduling, and workload balancing using data‑informed insights
Process Optimization & Systems Alignment:
- Design, evaluate, and optimize enrollment workflows, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Identify gaps across CRM, registration, and communication systems and partner with IT and functional teams to implement solutions
- Recommend and implement process and policy enhancements that support service quality and enrollment outcomes
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Alignment:
- Serve as a liaison between Workforce Development, Employer Partnerships, One Stop, the Registrar, and IT
- Ensure enrollment operations are aligned across departments and integrated with institutional systems and standards
- Support consistent, accurate, and timely communication with students, employers, and internal stakeholders
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to enrollment operations and service delivery
- Analyze enrollment and service data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Provide data‑informed insights and recommendations to support leadership decision‑making
- Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation decisions
Work Environment & Flexibility:
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to support special events or operational needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Four (4) or more years of progressive experience in enrollment operations, student services, or a related field
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in fast‑paced, service‑oriented environments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive operational improvements
- Experience designing, improving, and scaling workflows, systems, and processes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Additional Instructions For Applicants:
Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
