Job Description  | General Description: The Associate Director of Academic Integrity and Initiatives will lead, support, and promote a culture of integrity across the college community. The Associate Director will report to the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and serve as the primary point of contact for academic integrity matters, providing leadership in education, policy implementation, case management, proactive outreach, and restorative interventions. The Associate Director will also support the maintenance and revision of key academic policy and procedure publications. This is a unique opportunity to shape and support ethical learning practices at a college committed to access and student success.

Key Responsibilities: Direct the college’s academic integrity process, including case intake, investigation support, and outcome tracking. Serve as the central resource for deans, faculty, and staff regarding academic integrity policies and procedures. Collaborate with academic departments, student affairs, and college leadership to promote a culture of integrity in education. Apply continuous improvement principles to academic integrity policy, process, and procedures. Develop and deliver workshops, trainings, and educational resources on academic integrity, ethics, and responsible scholarship. Maintain confidential records and data for tracking trends and generating reports. Support the maintenance and revision of Academic Affairs policy, process, and procedures publications. 

Employees must reside in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia.
Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications  | KSAs: Demonstrated understanding of student development theory and academic integrity principles with a commitment to restorative practices Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism. Ability to gather and analyze information and propose solutions. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated skill in writing, editing, and proofreading. Knowledge of community college student populations and mission. Ability to work independently as a self-motivated, highly productive professional and as part of a highly collegial team. 

Required Qualifications:Master’s degree. Qualifying degree must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution. Two (2) years experience in academic administration, student conduct, higher education policies, and academic integrity practices, or a related field. Experience delivering workshops, trainings, and educational resources on academic integrity, ethics, responsible scholarship, or related topics. Experience revising and editing policy and procedures documents. Post-secondary or similar teaching experience.

Additional Considerations  | Preferred Qualifications: Experience conducting investigations and resolving academic misconduct cases. Experience developing educational content or programming on academic integrity or ethics. Experience developing institutional policies and procedures. Experience in project management. Experience with case management systems (e.g., Maxient). Post-secondary teaching experience in multi-modalities (in-person, online, etc.).
