Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Associate Director of Admissions provides leadership and strategic oversight for undergraduate recruitment initiatives designed to achieve institutional enrollment goals. This position supervises admissions recruiters and coordinates recruitment activities including high school visits, college fairs, communication campaigns, and application review processes. The Associate Director plays a key role in developing and implementing data-informed recruitment strategies that support student engagement, application completion, and enrollment growth for first time students. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison to key stakeholders including the academic colleges.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required and five years of experience in a related field with progressive responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong analytical and thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Internet based collaboration tools.
  • Detailed oriented and organized.
  • Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and communication platforms such as Slate or similar technologies.
  • Ability to analyze recruitment data and develop strategic enrollment initiatives.

Essential Functions and percent of time:
40% – Supervise, mentor, and evaluate admissions recruiters and support staff to ensure recruitment goals and performance expectations are achieved.
15% – Coordinate and oversee recruiter travel schedules, high school visits, college fairs, and recruitment event assignments.
10% – Monitor recruitment funnel activity and analyze data trends to identify opportunities for increased enrollment and improved student communication.
10% – Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies that support institutional enrollment objectives and increase prospective student engagement
Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd):
5% – Represent the university at recruitment events, high schools, community organizations, and on-campus programs.
5% – Prepare reports and provide regular updates regarding recruitment activity, application trends, and enrollment projections to admissions leadership.
5% – Train admissions staff on recruitment practices, customer service expectations, and application review procedures.
5% – Utilize CRM and communication platforms to oversee texting, email, and calling campaigns designed to support recruitment and yield initiatives.
5% – Other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Functions and percent of time:
Working Conditions
Climate controlled office environment with high volume of customer service traffic. Requires evening and weekend hours. Reliable transportation is required due travel. Driver’s License required. Must meet University requirements to drive a university vehicle.
