Job Description  | General Description:
The Associate Director of Business Training Initiatives (*Restricted) will lead the design, delivery, and growth of business-related workforce training at NOVA Workforce, building strategic partnerships with employers, nonprofits, and government agencies to address regional workforce needs.

Duties and Tasks:Oversee open enrollment and contract training across campuses to ensure consistent delivery and impact. Collaborate with industry leaders and internal stakeholders to design training solutions that align with employer demand and industry trends. Pursue revenue-generating opportunities through grants, corporate sponsorships, and fee-based programs. Lead special projects that advance institutional priorities, such as pilot programs, rapid response training, or innovative delivery models. Develop training proposals, manages budgets, and ensures high-quality program implementation. Represent NOVA Workforce through public speaking, marketing, and participation in industry events. Supervise instructors to ensure instructional excellence. Align programs with industry trends and employer demand and expand career opportunities for adult learners. Strengthen employer relationships, and advance NOVA Workforce’s mission as a leader in workforce development.

This position is funded with non-continuous or non-recurring funding and is subject to continuation based on fiscal year funds and the needs of the college.
Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications  | KSAs: Strong knowledge of workforce development principles and industry-driven training needs. Ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings/weekends. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to guide program decisions. Strong organizational and managerial skills to oversee programs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate constructive working relationships with all divisions of the college and external stakeholders. Ability to represent the program at conferences, meetings, and on internal and external committees to the college. Ability to proactively identify and address challenges in program implementation and student outcomes, for overall program success. Ability to engage in outreach activities, foster relationships with industry partners. Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for effective communication and collaboration within the college and with external partners. Ability to work in a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural work environment.

Minimum Work Experience: Experience in developing and implementing workforce training programs for diverse adult learners. Experience building and managing partnerships with employers, nonprofits, or government agencies. Experience with budget oversight, program management, and compliance. Experience working with projects that advance institutional priorities, such as grants, pilot programs, rapid response training, or innovative training delivery models.

Additional Considerations 
Experience in securing and managing grants. Experience in working with data-driven decision making and reporting. Teaching or training experience in higher education or job training settings.
