You will manage a daily phone appointment schedule using Calendly and a caseload of prospective students who have applied to the undergraduate or pre-college programs. You will also travel to represent the university at various events in accordance with NACAC and SCAD guidelines. Among other duties, you will advocate for students, encourage résumé and portfolio submissions for scholarship review, and assist with the electronic submission of materials. Additionally, you will manage a high volume of incoming calls and emails each day to answer complex questions about university policies, admissions, scholarships, financial aid, enrollment requirements, and timelines.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for applicants, answering questions about the federal student aid process (FAFSA) and related topics, including estimated costs to attend, budgeting, payment options, and verification. You will also provide guidance to students seeking financial support from external scholarship resources. You will operate management systems to record and track applicant documents, individual contacts, and other information. You will communicate with applicants and admitted students according to an established schedule to ensure the highest proportion of right-fit students complete the application process and understand the opportunities available at SCAD. Additionally, you will ensure that information on the university website is accurate.

In this position, you will stay current on all SCAD policies and procedures to provide accurate information about programs of study, locations, housing, transfer credits, class registration, student services, and more. You will encourage applicants to visit the university and meet with them and their families to discuss their interests and address any questions they may have.
